YouTube, the largest video sharing portal has decided to take strong steps to control videos and other information uploaded which contains misguiding or irrelevant content. This is in view of increasing tendency to upload contents that are either violation or inappropriate to YouTube guidelines. A team has been deployed for dedicated tracking of user activities which are against terms and policies of YouTube. If found, the uploaded content will be removed immediately and it may go up to banning of the user from further uploads to the site.
Many users knowingly or unknowingly upload videos which contain sexual, racial or abusive information. This may be as a part of getting more traffic to their channel in an easy way or a false play from third party promoters offering more traffic. In both cases, action will be taken against the user and the user only will be responsible for any offence detected by YouTube Internal Team.
Below are the important rules and regulations set by YouTube to prevent the flow of deceptive and irrelevant practices.
Video and Comments:
Flushing unwanted, un targeted and irrelevant videos in large number are considered as an offence to the rules. The comments, descriptions or private messages involved in the video also will be scrutinized for spam detection. The content which is intended to drive viewers out of YouTube will not be accepted and removed from the channel.
Artificial Traffic:
Artificial traffic is anything that increases views, comments, like, traffic etc. artificially. Some robots are used for creating artificial traffic or by giving fake information to attract and guide viewers to the channel. YouTube takes it very seriously to discourage artificial traffic. Some users hire people to promote the content in YouTube which most of the times ends up in removing content from the site. Remember that the User alone is responsible for whatever malfunctions created by automatic systems or third parties.
Thumbnails:
Thumbnails are very important part of the channel as it gives the primary information about the video and its content. The basic rule is that the thumbnail should exactly represent the content. It is the title card displayed next to your video across the site. Thumbnail should not confuse or mislead viewers to irrelevant information. YouTube considers it as a serious offence to provide misguiding information and the same will be removed from the site.
Metadata:
Apart from spam or scam uploads, YouTube also will look closer into other elements of the upload like title, tags, descriptions, thumbnail and annotation. These all are very important information which helps in generating search results and keyword optimization. The Metadata used for providing additional information should be furnished carefully. If anyone is trying to trick or trap the search algorithms will be considered as spam and action will be taken in no time.
